    You can hook up the Kindle with your PC and transfer the PDF files to the Kindle.
    Certain things will not work ie text to speech, dictionary search for the meaning of a word (which was not mentioned here but is an awesome feature) .
    also the text is sometimes too small to read comfortably. However, rather than enlarge and then scroll each line across and back, which is tedious, I change the orientation of the Kindle itself and it’s great!

    @megamariomaster64 Not really. A hardware tour would show the physical components on the Kindle 2, while on this video, jon4lakers shows the machine’s OS features, making it a SOFTWARE tour.

    @micthiesen Well to be totally honest, i don’t really do any reading through E-books or whatever. I dont doubt that its excellent to read on, i just personally like things to look good, but thats just my personal opinion.

    And thanks for being civil, not many people like you out here on the internet :)

    @OneAussieBloke I’m curious, what are your reading habits? Would you find the iPad to be a better option for reading or are you holding out for colour E-Ink displays? No offence intended =) Thanks!

    I love my kindle, …
    I love my kindle, however I disagree with one thing. Not everything I want to read is available in kindle format, and because I live in Australia, even less than if I were in the US. Some titles are not available due to publisher restraints. It can be frustrating. It is my only complaint. Other than that I love it.

    Good overall review …
    Good overall review. However, it should be clarified that although the Kindle store does have the largest eBook catalog (450,000+) compared with its competitors, eg B&N’s Nook and Apple’s iBook store, there are plenty of books that aren’t available in Kindle eBook format. I primarily use my public library (NYPL) for my reading, reading roughly 4 to 5 books a week. About half of those books I get aren’t available in Kindle format. For those thinking of getting one, do a search for yourself.

    @erdal0 It says …
    @erdal0 It says that the basic web browser is not available in Canada, either…but I read a blog that someone in Canada wrote, and they said they were using the browser. I think amazon has to get their priorities straight and update that website information.
